The 5th Beyond Season Golf Tournament (BSGT) brought together golfers, families, partners and community members at River Oaks Golf Course for a memorable day of competitive golf, networking, community building and charitable impact.
Organized by Beyond Media Solutions and TheGolfer Online, the tournament continued its mission of using golf as a platform for connection, representation and giving back. This year’s event supported Circle of Life Solutions, as well as the First Timers Golf Program.
The tournament was contested in an individual stroke-play format, with players competing in Men’s Groups A, B and C, Women Open, Senior Open and Youth Open.
For tournament scoring, each golfer’s Handicap Index was converted into a Playing Handicap based on the River Oaks course, the tees played, course rating and slope. The handicaps referenced in the results below are the golfers’ Playing Handicaps used for tournament scoring.
Muthiaru Mburu, playing off 6, shot a net 66 to capture the Men’s Group A title.

Youth Open Represents the Future of the Game
The Youth Open featured Hendrik von Laffert, who played off 24 and completed the tournament with a net 81.
While the leaderboard provided plenty of excitement, the fifth edition of BSGT was about much more than determining tournament champions.
Throughout the day, golfers from different backgrounds and communities had opportunities to compete, network, build relationships and share their love of the game.
The tournament also continued its commitment to expanding access to golf through the First Timers Golf Program, giving individuals who may not have previously had exposure to the sport an opportunity to learn the fundamentals and begin their own journey in the game.
At the same time, BSGT continued its support of Circle of Life Solutions, reinforcing the tournament’s broader commitment to using golf as a vehicle for meaningful community impact. Circle of Life is an organization that seeks to empower and enhance the dignity of young girls in Minnesota and rural Africa through a sustainable sanitary pads supply program as well as mentorship and career guidance.
Following play, golfers and guests gathered at the event hall for dinner, prize presentations, fundraising and entertainment, extending the experience beyond the final hole and giving participants another opportunity to connect and celebrate together.
Feedback following the tournament highlighted the event’s sense of community, networking opportunities, representation, quality of the golf course, organization, prizes, branding and charitable purpose as some of its strongest features.
The 2026 tournament marked an important milestone – the fifth edition of the Beyond Season Golf Tournament.
What began as a golf competition has continued to evolve into a broader community platform connecting golfers, businesses, partners, first-time players and charitable organizations.
The results at River Oaks also reflected the diversity of the field. Experienced low-handicap golfers competed alongside developing players, women, seniors and youth, while the handicap system created a framework for golfers to compete fairly within their respective divisions.
That combination of competition, inclusion, networking and community impact continues to define the Beyond Season Golf Tournament.
Community partners that supported the tournament included ThriveEdge, Pama Logistics, KB Consulting, Arise Home Healthcare, Dreamliners Estates, Clerk Home Healthcare and Building Code Tech.
With the fifth tournament now complete, attention will gradually turn toward the 6th Beyond Season Golf Tournament in 2027, with organizers looking to build on the lessons, participation and momentum generated at River Oaks.
For BSGT, the goal remains bigger than the scorecard: grow the game, strengthen community and create impact through golf.
